Troubled By Under Eye Shadows?

Are you embarrassed when people say you look tired or ask if you’re not feeling well?

The skin beneath the eyes is the thinnest skin on the body. This is partially responsible for it being the first area to show wrinkles, dark circles or puffiness. There are numerous causes contributing to these symptoms. These are discussed farther down the page. If you’ve come to this page, I assume you are interested in an under eye cream to reduce dark circles.

Since the under eye skin is so delicate, it is important to select a good under eye cream. With today’s scientific advancements and research, there is now a proven way to lessen dark shadowing under the eyes.

Avoid the mistake of thinking any moisturizer will do. A general face moisturizer is not appropriate around the eye area. An effective moisturizing eye cream is necessary as the skin under the eyes lacks the ability to retain moisture.

A Good Eye Cream Has These Ingredients…

Look for one that contains niacinamide which is a water soluble vitamin B complex that helps retain moisture. This will reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

An effective cream will lessen any puffiness. One containing Bisabolol, an ingredient derived from Chamomile, is a good choice as it soothes irritated skin reducing the appearance of puffiness.

For dark circles under the eyes, there are a couple of key ingredients addressing this. One is N-Hydroxycicinimide which reduces pigmentation contributing to dark circles. Chrysin is the other ingredient. It is a flavonoid that helps reduce the appearance of under eye darkness caused when capillaries leak blood close to the skin’s surface. When this blood  oxidizes, it turns a bluish red color creating darkness under the eyes.

A recommended eye cream using many natural compounds including all these ingredients is Revitol. It effectively tackles three of the most aggravating beauty problems…under eye dark circles, puffiness and wrinkles.

What results are others getting with Revitol Eye Cream…

"As a Medical Doctor with dark circles under my eyes since childhood, I was doubtful that your product would actually work. However, after only one month of usage I am certain that it has helped to reduce bags and lighten and tone the area under my eyes. It’s a remarkable product." – E. Spektor, M.D.

 How to Apply Eye Cream

How you apply the cream in the eye area is also critical to avoid damaging the delicate skin.

It is best to apply eye cream while the skin is still moist. Use a light touch to dab it on gently. Using the little finger works well as it naturally applies the least pressure.

To Reduce Future Damage…

Wear sunscreen year round. Sun damage is the number one contributor to aging skin. Wear sun glasses to protect the eye area.

Adopt these lifestyle choices:

  •    eat a healthy diet of lean protein with lots of vegetables and fruits, limiting sugar and salt
  •    take supplements to ensure you are getting the nutrients you need
  •    drink plenty of water to stay hydrated
  •    exercise regularly, this will also help reduce stress
  •    get a good night’s sleep
  •    monitor your reactions to medications to see if they are causing your under eye symptoms
  •    be aware if your symptoms only appear when your allergies are active

Do What Chipmunks Do

Wrinkles appear in areas where we continually make creases in our skin, for example, when we smile. It’s this repetitive action that wears out the elastin in those spots. To remedy this, relax those facial muscles by doing the following exercise. This relaxes and contracts the muscles reducing the deep lines caused by muscle tension and recurring facial expressions. Chipmunks stuff nuts and seeds into their cheeks. For this exercise, you’ll use air.

Facial Exercise
Puff up your cheeks with air so you look like a chipmunk.
Keep the air in your cheeks and move the air from cheek to cheek. This stretches out one side even more.
Now switch cheeks.
Keep alternating cheeks.
Repeat 10 times holding for a few seconds on each side.
